How to replace the halogen headlight bulb on the front of a BMW 335i?

Switch the lights OFF. For the left headlight, remove the air filter housing. The procedure may vary slightly based on vehicle model year and options. To access the low beam bulb, work at the front wheel housing liner by twisting the plastic retainers and removing the trapdoor behind the headlight assembly. Release the clip and remove the plastic low beam bulb cover. For high beam bulb access, work in the engine compartment behind the headlight, releasing the clip and removing the plastic high beam bulb cover. For bulb replacement, at the back of the headlight bulb, detach the electrical connector, unlock the bulb retainer, and pull the bulb out of the reflector hole. Replace the bulb without touching its surface with bare fingers, as grease from skin can cause premature failure. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring the cover is firmly seated on the headlight.
