Slip the splash shield under the engine and then empty the cooling system. Third, pull out the coolant
Thermostat, let go of the structure of the hose clamps, and take off the coolant hoses off the back of the pump. C1 loose the electrical connector which is near the front end of the pump and then unbolt the pump and take it off the side of the engine. If the coolant pump will be used again, it must be filled with 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water right after the removal and the holes must be sealed to prevent any contamination. In the process of installation, the opposite sequence of removal is taken, and the impeller of the coolant pump must be mechanically turned for 360 degrees before final connection and using new aluminum fasteners instead of steel ones to prevent electrochemical corrosion. Replace the thermostat, replace the freon in the cooling system and evacuate the system before charging it again and look for leaks.
