Remove the shift knob and boot or drive selection plate, then use a suitable prying tool to unclip the trim from the bottom only while working at the HVAC panel. After removing screws, unclip spring clips, ensuring not to drop them into the shifter area. Lift out the trim and disconnect the 12-volt socket and center switch panel connectors. Remove screws at the rear of the shifter, then open the center console armrest cover and lift out the storage compartment by hand. Remove cap head screws and unclip electrical connections to the console lid armrest. Disconnect the electrical connector for the 12-volt socket and aux plug if equipped while working inside at the rear of the center console. Push on the connector for the rear heated seats to pop out the switches from the rear panel, then disconnect the heated seat switches from the harness and remove the panel. Remove screws from the rear panel, then take out the panel and feed out the wiring. Remove the center console mounting nuts and screws on both sides at the bottom of the storage bin opening. Use a suitable prying tool to unclip the boot from the catches while working at the parking brake lever. Lift the console towards the rear and upward over the parking brake handle, and if necessary, lift the parking brake handle up to feed the center console over it. Reinstallation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all connector plugs are reconnected and wiring is kept clear from any pinch points.
