How to remove the blower motor from the housing on a BMW X5?

Disconnect the battery negative cable, ensuring to read the battery disconnection cautions provided in the warnings and cautions section. Remove the dashboard and then work above the blower housing by unclipping the cover retainers and removing the blower cover. Inside the blower housing, detach the electrical connector, remove the blower mounting screws, and lift out the blower in the direction indicated by the arrow. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
