Vehicles equipped with optional Xenon
Headlights, also known as High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, utilize a special high voltage bulb and control unit for the low beam headlights, while high beam bulbs remain conventional Halogens. For the left side headlight, the air filter housing must be removed, and for the right side, the secondary air intake filter should be taken out from behind the headlight assembly. In the engine compartment behind the headlight, the plastic retaining collar needs to be released and removed in the indicated direction. After that, mounting screws and the bulb rear cover should be taken off. The Xenon bulb harness connector must be rotated in the specified direction and removed from the back of the bulb. The bulb retaining collar should be rotated in the indicated direction, allowing the bulb to be pulled out of the reflector for replacement. Care should be taken not to touch the bulb surface with bare fingers, as grease from the skin can cause premature failure. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
