On some models, to get to the oil pressure switch it might be needed to uninstall the intake manifold. To start with, if it is possible remove the oil filter cap loosely so as to allow the oil in the filter to drain back into the
Oil Pan to reduce on the loss of the oil when replacing the switch. Secondly, disconnect the electric connection, and then unscrew the switch mounted on the base of the air filter housing, and then twist off the air filter housing. New switch is to be installed and fastened to the recommended torque, the air filter housing as well as the oil filter cap is to be reinstalled, final check being made on the oil level. The procedure for the oil level switch is as follows: Remove the engine splash shield, and drain the engine oil. Pull out the electrical connector, unscrew the three nuts then, and then remove the level switch. It should come with a new oil seal and an oil level switch, fit these parts in place the mating surface of the oil pan has to be clean, tighten the retaining nuts down securely. Replace the engine splash shield back, and fill the crankcase with only the correct type and amount of engine oil.
