    How to remove and replace the Oil Pressure Switch (combined oil pressure/oil temperature sensor) on N20 and N26 engines on BMW 428i? Posted by Customer
    A:
    The N20 and N26 engine oil pressure switch sends a signal for oil pump map control and engine heating. The switch is threaded into the engine block on the front left side of the engine. First detach the throttle body and then remove the harness connector from the oil pressure switch using special tool 34 5 160. Before removing the oil pressure switch, it should be thoroughly cleaned all around it. After inserting a new oil pressure switch with a sealing ring, the engine oil level should be checked and topped up if necessary.
