    Like the front one, the rear wheel bearing is fixed to the rear wheel bearing carrier; it is possible to replace the bearing without disconnecting the carrier. The rear wheel hub has to be pressed into the rear wheel bearing to fit: the hub is the bearing and pulling off the hub will damage the wheel bearing. To perform the wheel bearing service, the wheel hub needs to be firstly taken off and then the wheel bearing is to be installed.

    Remove the drive flange, noting that the wheel bearing will be destroyed in the process, necessitating its replacement. Press the inner race of the wheel bearing off the wheel hub shaft. From the back of the wheel bearing carrier, take out the fasteners and remove the bearing. Ensure that the threads and contact surfaces of both the wheel bearing and the wheel bearing carrier are clean and free of oil and grease before installing the new wheel bearing and reinstalling the drive flange.
