    Q:
How to remove and install Door Latch Assembly, Door Lock Cylinder and Interior Door Handle on BMW 325i? Posted by Customer
    A:
To remove the inside door handle, begin by pulling off the inside door trim panel, undoing the interior handle lever, let go of the cable and take off the handle. When removing a front door latch assembly, you will have to remove a window regulator assembly; unplug wiring harnesses, release cables and release rods then loosen and remove the latch. The removal of front door exterior handle involves taking out lock cylinder (if necessary), rear cover and finally disengaging it from attachment. To take away the front door lock cylinder entails accessing then removing a single retaining bolt before pulling it out. In backdoor, start by removing inner trim panel and watershield, unplugging latch wiring, opening rod and opening cable in that order before removing latch assembly. To get rid of rear outer handle on a backdoor remove rear cover as well as pull it outwards while ensuring that latch lever is kept properly positioned. On installation however; you reverse these steps making sure components are properly sealed and secured; check functioning of the latch prior to closing door.

How to remove and install the trunk lock cylinder on BMW 335i? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the trunk lid trim panel and unclip the trunk lock cylinder trim cover. Working inside the trunk at the rear of the lock cylinder, disconnect the bowden cable from the lock cylinder. Insert a 2 mm diameter punch into the hole and press down the catch, then rotate the lock release 90° counterclockwise and remove the punch. Remove the fasteners and take out the lock cylinder. For installation, reverse the removal process, ensuring to inspect and replace the lock cylinder seal if necessary, properly seat the seal, and rotate the lock release 90° clockwise once the lock is in place.
