To start, remove the lower dash trim cover while working inside the passenger footwell under the glove box. Use a 10mm driver to remove two nuts. Using your fingers or a plastic pry tool, carefully pull down the trim panel in the vicinity of the clamps to allow the tab to free from behind the side panel. To begin, lower the panel on the left side of the machine. Next, detach the power socket connector. In addition, lower the rear of the panel to disconnect the lamp connector from behind. Finally, remove the panel. The filter housing attaches to the bottom of the glove box enclosure, where you'll remove two Torx T-20 cover screws and release the locking tabs. While not disturbing the water drain hose on the left side, lower the cover to disengage from the alignment posts. Take off the microfilter by pulling it down out of the housing, taking note of the position of the water drain hose attached to the lower cover. To install the microfilter, retrace the steps you took during removal. Ensure the arrow on the microfilter is facing towards the front of the car. Also ensure that the spring clips are undamaged and inserted correctly in their slots. The water drain hose must be appropriately routed to the heater and air-conditioning housing and microfilter cover so that drain water does not enter the passenger compartment.
