BMW 11617588126 Intake Manifold System

Disconnect the battery negative (-) cable in the luggage compartment, ensuring to read the battery disconnection cautions beforehand. Remove the upper engine cover and the acoustic cover located below it. Disconnect all plug connections at the DME, then remove the fasteners and lift off the DME. Press and hold the lock of the tank vent line to remove it, unplug the connection at the tank vent valve, and remove the vent lines from both the vent valve and throttle body, followed by unbolting the tank valve from its bracket. Unplug the electrical connection from the throttle body and the connector from the intake pressure sensor. If replacing the intake manifold, take note of the intake manifold pressure sensor replacement process. Remove the charge air pipe from the throttle body and set it aside. Finally, remove the fasteners and release the cable strap under the intake plenum using a suitable tool, with installation being the reverse of removal and ensuring all intake seals are replaced.
