The driver's window switch cluster sends a signal via the LIN-bus to the FRM when the power window switch for the driver's door or front passenger's door is operated, prompting the FRM to actuate the corresponding power window motor. For rear door windows, the switch sends a signal to the FRM through the LIN-bus, which then communicates with the JBE via the K-CAN to actuate the window motors. When the front passenger's door switch is used, the JBE sends a signal through the K-CAN to the footwell module, leading the FRM to activate the power window motor. In the rear doors, the switches send signals to the JBE, which then controls the window motors. The window toggle switch provides a coded ground signal to the control module; holding it at the first detent sends a single ground signal to request the window to open, while releasing it stops the motor. Momentarily pushing the switch to the second detent activates one-touch mode, allowing the window to lower automatically until it reaches the end position. The rear window child lockout switch, located in the driver's window switch block, sends a signal via the LIN bus to the footwell module to prevent operation of the rear door switches, although this signal is overridden if a multiple restraint system crash signal is detected.
