Open the screws that secure this belt, beginning with the 8-pillar trim panel. This is followed by prying the belt anchorage trim from the seat after which the clip at its front edge should be taken out. Remove the bell anchorage boll from the seat frame and detach it from the belt. Following, remove seat belt guide mounting and separate column-mounted guide for belt from it. In addition to that, remove bolt securing upper mount of seatbelt as well as inertia-reel retaining bolt. Remove seatbelt from door pillar if applicable, otherwise retain bolts on door pillar and height adjustment mechanism. Simply remove theseat and release the tensioner wiring harnesses out of their retaining clips to start with. To slide connector off mounting bracket release clips/cable tie Pry loose one electrical plug at a time until relevant plug is released Loosen and remove bolt holding buckle-assembly on side of chair Note: replacement must be done when installing new bolt Bolt tightening specified values are shown in table 2 When installing a four point harness, check that belts are not twisted or loaded across sharp edges It is important to make sure all fasteners are tightened to their proper torque setting and thread-locking compound applied to mounting bolts.

If any of these checks reveal problems with the seat belt system, you should replace parts as necessary.

Dirt and other abrasive particles can damage seat belt webbing.
