How to remove and install the window regulator and motor as one unit in Sedan, Sports Wagon on BMW 335i?

Disconnect the front window regulator and motor as a single unit, disconnect both on the bench if required. The process starts with the front door panel pull and the second step involving withdrawal of the window glass. Pull the window motor electrical connector then remove all the screws that holds the window regulator. Disconnect the regulator cable from the clip which is usually located on the door and pull the window regulator through the cavity of the door. For installation reverse the process of removal while making sure the wiring harnesses should be kept at a distance from the moving window mechanism, new wire ties are to be used while doing so. Last but not the least, power up the window.

How to remove and install the rear window regulator and motor as one unit on BMW X3?

Disconnect the regulator and the motor together as a single system to be released and, if necessary, split on the bench. Remove the front panel and furthermore remove the negative terminal wire from the battery. Pull off the vapor barrier on the door without ripping it, if the barrier is ripped it should be replaced in a bid to avoid water seeping in. Pull the window out of the door and open up the window motor to disconnect the electrical harness. Once all the fasteners have been undone, turn the regulator and feed it right out of the door cavity. For installation reverse the removal process; be sure to position wiring harnesses out of moving window paths, new wire ties if necessary. Ensure that the vapor barrier is well closed so that there is no water leakage and switch on the window after replacing the battery.
