Wiper Arms and pivots, avoid manually sliding or forcing the wiper arms across the windshield. Begin by removing the strut bar and the wiper arms. Release three fasteners at a 90° angle to loosen the cabin cover, then lift and remove it if necessary. Unclip the cowl panel from the blind fasteners and lift it off the vehicle. Remove the fasteners at the rear of the plenum chamber and lift it off as well. Pull off the weather strip and release the locks to slightly pull the side trim forward. Remove the fasteners for the heater bulkhead and lift it off the vehicle. Release the wiper motor bracket from under the cowl by removing the mounting bolt and detaching the electrical connector. Remove the large nut at the base of the wiper arm shafts on both sides and take out the wiper assembly. Before reinstalling, replace rubber mounting grommets as necessary. Install the wiper motor bracket and tighten the mounting bolt. Before reinstalling the wiper arms, reconnect the wiper motor electrical connector and briefly switch the ignition ON with the wiper switch in the OFF position to allow the wiper pivots to reach the PARK position.
