How to deactivate the air spring and remove the air suspension compressor in the cargo compartment on BMW X5?

Deactivate the air spring and work in the cargo compartment using a spare tire removal aid to take out the spare tire. Tie the spare tire removal aid out of the way and gradually loosen the air supply connections to allow air to escape, waiting approximately 2 minutes for the air pressure to dissipate. Once the pressure has been reduced, remove the air supply connections and disconnect the air suspension compressor electrical connector. Remove the air suspension compressor fasteners and the fastener on the air suspension compressor support, then carefully feed the air pipes and wiring harness underneath the air suspension compressor support to remove the air suspension compressor. For installation, follow the reverse of the removal process, ensuring to activate and fill the air springs using a BMW scan tool, check the system for leaks, set the vehicle down on its wheels, and carry out the suspension level calibration.
