The hub assembly can only be removed if it or the hub bearing need to be replaced, as the hub is press fitted into the bearing's inner race, and taking it out damages the bearing. If removal is required then be ready with a new hub bearing at the time of replacing the same. For installation, it is necessary to use a long bolt or a threaded bar and suitable washers. First of all it is necessary to dismantle the specific driveaxle and the brake disc. Then use a slide hammer to pull out the hub from the bearing: if the bearing's inner race stays on the hub, the intervention of a puller will be required in this case. Lastly, as soon as the hub is then taken off, the next step is to put in the bearing. Light oil should be applied on the hub surface, and the later should be fitted into the bearing inner race. Screw the longer threaded bolt in both ends of the hub with two nuts and large washers such that the inner washer is in contact with the bearing inner race and the outer washer in contact with the hub. Again, do so until the hub gets fully seated and when doing so, do not use a hammer and drift, as it may damage bearings. Upon tightening of the nut or bolt, please unscrew the bolt or threaded bar and washers and ensure rotation of the hub bearing. Last but not the lest, replace the brake disc as well as the driveshaft back to their respective positions.
