How to safely remove and reinstall the Oil Pressure Switch (engine oil level sensor) on BMW 428i?

With the engine fully cooled off, raise the vehicle and support it safely. Remove the splash shield underneath the engine, drain the engine oil, and then remove the reinforcement plate beneath the engine along with any sound insulation. It is important not to drive the vehicle with the front end reinforcement plate removed and to always use new reinforcement fasteners once removed. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the mounting nuts, then take out the Oil Pressure Switch while being prepared to catch any dripping oil. When reinstalling, replace the sealing O-ring, refill the engine with oil, and check for leaks after completing the work.
