Where is the fuel filter located and How to remove and install it on BMW X5?

The fuel filter is situated on the left side on the car on the underside of it. To undertake this process, start by jacking up the car and putting supporting it safely. Then, unbolt the screws for the fuel tank underbody protection of the left side of the vehicle, it is worthy noting that there are longer bolts at location A, and the forward part of the underbody protection panel should be lowered to reveal the fuel filter and the carbon canister. On the front half of the fuel tank, it is necessary to disconnect the vacuum line the upper fuel line and the lower one, and unscrewing the fasteners to free the fuel filter from the clamps. Removal procedure is vice versa of installation procedure, and one must inspect the system for any signs of leakage before refitting the under-body protection panel.
