- Q: How to test fuel pump power consumption if fuel delivery is erratic or the pump makes loud noises on BMW 335i?A:In the event the fuel pump delivery is conical, or irregular, noisy or making abnormal strange noises, measure the power consumed by the fuel pump using a BMW factory scan tool or an equivalent tool by way of the followings, connect the device, select next, and get to function selection then DME, then select fuel pump, and then turn to control current B1612_STR00 then follow prompts on the tool by monitoring fuel pump current.
