How to remove and install the front Brake Caliper on BMW Z4?

It is important also to follow all the warning and safety precautions before proceeding with any work. To dismantle the brake components, first engage the parking brake and lift the front part of the vehicle and secure it using jack stands, then, proceed to the removal of the corresponding wheel. Reducing the losses it is recommended to have another tool - a brake hose clamp, used to clamp a flexible hose. Make sure that surrounding the fitting is free from debris and lubricate the brake hose fitting nut before you undo it. Several them include; Take out the brake pads from the vehicle, unstuck the caliper from the terminal of the brake hose, and finally, remove the caliper from the vehicle. For assembling, tightened to the end the caliper on the flexible hose fitting and fit in the brake pads. Torque the brake line fitting nut securely, then either remove the brake hose clamp or cellophane, as appropriate, and bleed the hydraulic system, though if steps were taken to minimise brake fluid loss during servicing it should only be necessary to bleed the appropriate front brake. Last of all, fit the wheel, then lower the car until the wheel touches the ground, and then tighten the wheel bolts to the recommended torque setting you have been provided with, and check the brake fluid level.

What are the key steps to follow when performing overhaul operations on the Brake Caliper with the caliper removed on BMW 2002?

Having the caliper removed, the behaviour during the overhaul is similar to two mentioned above piston types. Operate two pistons at a time and ensure that piston numbers are not interchanged, because each has to go its own bore. One can use the pieces of the masking tape or spirit marker to label the pistons or cylinder surfaces, strictly keeping off the dot punch marks. Hydraulic fluid or methylated spirit should be used for cleaning purposes but never should the two halves of the caliper be separated by removing the connecting bolts. Also, note that hydraulic fluid is a great paint remover;; thus, be careful not to have the fluid splash on any of the body work.

How to properly bleed the brake system and Brake Caliper on BMW 335i?

Remove the cover to access the brake fluid reservoir and top off the reservoir. Connect a pressure bleeder to the reservoir and pressurize the system to approximately 2 bar (29 psi), ensuring not to exceed this pressure to avoid damaging the brake fluid reservoir. Connect the bleeder hose and bottle to the right rear caliper bleeder screw, and have a helper hold the brake pedal down. Open the bleeder screw and have the helper slowly pump the brakes about 10 times, holding the pedal down on the last pump. Once the escaping fluid is free of air bubbles, close the bleeder screw. Ensure the bleeder hose remains submerged in clean brake fluid whenever the bleeder valve is open. After closing the bleeder screw, release the brake pedal, refill the brake fluid reservoir, and proceed to the left rear wheel. Continue bleeding the remaining wheels in the following order: left rear, right front, and left front.

To dismantle the brake components, first engage the parking brake and lift the front part of the vehicle and secure it using jack stands, then, proceed to the removal of the corresponding wheel. Make sure that surrounding the fitting is free from debris and lubricate the brake hose fitting nut before you undo it. Having the caliper removed, the behaviour during the overhaul is similar to two mentioned above piston types. Operate two pistons at a time and ensure that piston numbers are not interchanged, because each has to go its own bore. One can use the pieces of the masking tape or spirit marker to label the pistons or cylinder surfaces, strictly keeping off the dot punch marks. Hydraulic fluid or methylated spirit should be used for cleaning purposes but never should the two halves of the caliper be separated by removing the connecting bolts. Also, note that hydraulic fluid is a great paint remover;; thus, be careful not to have the fluid splash on any of the body work.

A:
Remove the cover to access the brake fluid reservoir and top off the reservoir. Connect a pressure bleeder to the reservoir and pressurize the system to approximately 2 bar (29 psi), ensuring not to exceed this pressure to avoid damaging the brake fluid reservoir. Connect the bleeder hose and bottle to the right rear caliper bleeder screw, and have a helper hold the brake pedal down. Open the bleeder screw and have the helper slowly pump the brakes about 10 times, holding the pedal down on the last pump. Once the escaping fluid is free of air bubbles, close the bleeder screw. Ensure the bleeder hose remains submerged in clean brake fluid whenever the bleeder valve is open. After closing the bleeder screw, release the brake pedal, refill the brake fluid reservoir, and proceed to the left rear wheel. Continue bleeding the remaining wheels in the following order: left rear, right front, and left front.
